Tonight our #VegasGoldenKnights are battling it out and this entire valley is holding its breath that they can pull out a win. I'm right there with all of you. GO KNIGHTS GO!

As we celebrate athleticism and excellence on the ice, and as I gear up to cover the #OlympicGames in #Tokyo soon, I want to share with you an experience where I saw the beautiful intersection of art and athletics earlier this week.

Let's set the scene. A group of friends were out with a net pushing a puck around near their home. I was out for my 3 mile run, and saw in the distance that every time a car came down the road, a smaller boy shot out from the yard holding up a sign.

It struck me. I used to be that artistic kid who watched the other boys play sports.

I quickly finished my run and brought my daughter back to buy this little guy's art. I'm obscuring the photo I took of him and his sign, and my daughter is covering up his signature on the art we bought from him out of respect for his privacy and the privacy of his family. But I wanted us all to be reminded that our kids need both the arts and athletics and that both are beautiful. GO KNIGHTS GO, and GO ART GO!

Have a great weekend, all!
